The heat treatment of metals produces mechanical and structural changes to the material properties

by variation of temperature, consisting of heating, soaking and cooling in a furnace.

During the heating and cooling process it is crucial to avoid any metal oxidation that may affect the

brightness and mechanical properties of the finished parts. The pure nitrogen produced by SATURN

generators ensures full protection, while the hydrogen removes any existing oxidation on the metal by

reacting (redox) and transforming it into water vapour that is then vented out by the gas itself.
